Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Pathline Training Academy (“Pathline”, “we”, “our”) is an online learning platform serving university students and kids aged 8–14 across Egypt and the MENA region. We provide instructor-led courses and training programs in Arabic and English.

2. Information we collect

When you create an account or use our platform, we collect:

• Account details: full name (English and Arabic), email address, and password.
• Profile information: avatar, date of birth (age verification), university, and educational background.
• Activity records: course progress, quiz attempts, task submissions, and learning history.
• Payment receipts: bank transfer screenshots uploaded during enrollment (stored securely, never shared).
• Communications: messages sent through the platform and feedback submitted.

3. How we use this information

• To provide and operate the account and learning dashboard.
• To process enrollment applications and verify payments.
• To issue course and training completion certificates.
• To send transactional emails (enrollment updates, password resets, announcements).
• To improve platform features and the student experience.

4. Sanad (AI study companion)

• What is processed: your messages to Sanad and your own platform record (first name, gender, trainings, tasks, submissions, mentor feedback, sessions, certificates, and when you visit or open tasks). Never your phone, email or institution.
• Who processes it: third-party AI model providers reached through OpenRouter. Providers may be outside Egypt. Providers used by Pathline do not store your messages or use them to train models.
• Retention: conversations 5 months; activity events up to 1 year after your last cohort ends; anonymous flagged replies 1 year.
• Who can see it: not mentors or staff. A reply you mark as not helpful is shared with the Pathline team without your name.
• Anonymous learning: Pathline may keep an internal knowledge base of patterns from Sanad conversations; it stores only patterns shared by at least five students — never names or quotes.
• Your rights: download all of it from your profile (“Download my data”).

5. Retention periods

Account and learning records are kept for as long as the account remains active. Payment receipts are held for up to 3 years. Task submissions are kept for up to 2 years. Account holders may request deletion of their profile and associated records at any time.

6. Your rights

Account holders have the right to:

• Access — download a complete copy of all stored records from the profile page.
• Correction — update inaccurate profile details at any time.
• Deletion — request removal of the account and all associated records.
• Objection — contact us to raise concerns about how information is processed.

7. Security

All information is stored with Supabase, a SOC 2 certified provider, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to sensitive files (receipts, submissions) requires authenticated signed URLs that expire after a short window.

8. Third-party services

We use Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Gmail SMTP (transactional email). These services process data only to the extent necessary to provide our platform.
