Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, completing your profile, or otherwise using Pathline Training Academy (“Pathline”, “we”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. The service

Pathline is an online learning platform serving university students and kids aged 8–14 across Egypt and the MENA region. We offer two product types: self-paced Courses (recorded or live-scheduled) and mentor-led Trainings organized into monthly cohorts. Live sessions are held on third-party video conferencing tools; Pathline is not responsible for the availability or performance of those third-party services.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• University-track accounts must be created by the student themselves and are personal — do not share your login credentials.
• For learners under 18 (including the Kids 8–14 track), a parent or legal guardian must create or supervise the account and accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.
• You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for all activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or provides false information at signup.

4. Payments and enrollment

Paid Courses and Trainings are currently enrolled via manual bank transfer — no card payment gateway is processed on-platform. Enrollment is provisional (“pending”) until an administrator reviews and approves your submitted payment receipt.

• Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the course/training page and may change for future cohorts; your enrolled price is fixed once approved.
• Refund requests are reviewed case by case — contact us via the contact page before a cohort starts. Once a cohort has started, fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
• Rejected applications are not charged, and any submitted receipt is discarded from active use per our data retention schedule.

5. Certificates

Certificates are issued automatically upon passing a final exam (Courses) or at a mentor's discretion upon successful completion (Trainings). Pathline may revoke a certificate found to have been issued in error or obtained through misconduct; a revoked certificate's public verification page will display its revoked status and reason.

6. Sanad, our AI study companion

Students with an active training cohort can use Sanad, an AI study companion. Sanad guides you — it asks questions, points you to your tasks, resources and your mentor's feedback, and answers platform and policy questions from the Academy Handbook. It does not complete work for you, and it can make mistakes.

• To help you, Sanad uses your own platform record (first name, gender, trainings, tasks, submissions, mentor feedback, sessions and certificates). It never uses your phone number, email or institution.
• Your messages and this record are processed by third-party AI model providers through OpenRouter, a routing service. Providers may be located outside Egypt. We only use providers that do not store your messages or use them to train their models.
• Your conversations are kept for 5 months and are not shared with mentors or staff. You can download them with the rest of your data from your profile.
• If you mark a reply as not helpful, that single question and reply are sent to the Pathline team for review without your name.
• Pathline may learn from Sanad conversations only as anonymous patterns (for example, “many students found this task hard”), shown only when at least five students share them.
• Decisions about payments, refunds, admissions, grades and certificates are made by the Pathline team, not by Sanad. Where Sanad quotes the Academy Handbook, these Terms prevail over the Handbook if they ever conflict.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, resell, or redistribute course/training content without written permission.
• Submit plagiarized work, falsified receipts, or impersonate another person.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' data.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Egyptian law.

8. Intellectual property

Course materials, videos, quizzes, and the Pathline platform itself are owned by Pathline or its mentors and licensed to you solely for personal, non-commercial learning use. Task submissions and feedback you create remain associated with your account for the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pathline and its mentors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of live sessions hosted on third-party video tools. Pathline's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid to Pathline for the specific Course or Training giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Egyptian law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the platform and request account deletion at any time via the contact page. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a new version, and you may be asked to re-accept the updated Terms the next time you sign in. Continued use of the platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt.
